SUBSTANCE, STYLE, AND STRATEGY (Oxford University Press)

This is a book for Advanced Composition courses and for those who wish to teach a course in writing at other than beginning levels. It is based on a progressive model, working from personal writing through biography, argumentation, analysis, and researched essays. An appendix provides guidance for students interested in using print sources, library CD sources, and online sources on the World Wide Web. The book developed from a highly successful series of courses that I taught in advanced composition.
